Hand Loom
Story behind the product ~ Used to weave cloth such as the beautiful mudcloth which comes from cotton grown locally and harvested, hand spun and then prepared for the looming process. This process begins with the men, using small hand looms, weaving the cotton into long strips, typically seven and then sewn together to create a panel. From this point the women usually take over the preparation of the mudcloth using their artist designs and age old techniques.

Each piece has been intricately created by hand. If there are small flaws it is of celebration, of 'made by hand', making each and every piece unique with tiny little differences.
